Reality is Beyond This World

Reality is not defined by feelings nor by what experiences we have.  Reality is not what we say it is.  Many say my reality, or your reality, like there can be various realities, and it is contrary to what it is in truth.

The vast majority of human beings resort to creating their own reality because they cannot see Reality as it exists. After all, it is not of this world.  We have reality shows, virtual reality and my reality and your reality – but they are not true reality.

Reality, in the context of what is true, we cannot change, add or subtract from because it is. Reality is where the Lord is.  To not grasp this truth, I believe, is one of the largest stumbling blocks that keeps us from going on into Christ to learn and experience His unsearchable depths.   The truth is plainly spoken through the scriptures and out of the Lord’s mouth:

 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

Reality, true reality, is bound in Christ and released in Christ to all who would desire it, for it is all summed up in I AM.

We must fight for it, and seek it with all our heart, mind and soul.  Why?  Because we have an enemy who knows that anyone who tastes this reality will be harder to deceive and will become a force against his kingdom.

Alternatively, I see a trap among us.  Rather than apprehending what true reality is, we resort to seeking the presence of God with all our heart and soul.  We should be careful in seeking to ‘feel’ God in emotional experience and then call this evidence of His presence.

That is not to say that we do not become emotionally affected in our prayer, songs of praise and worship to the Lord.  The danger comes when we seek after a feeling and God’s presence, because the enemy has power to evoke a laughing spirit, an emotional high, feelings of love, feelings of peace, warmth, and a sense of well-being.  He has the power to ‘bless us’ with material means because he is the god of this world, and has the power to move freely in it and in our uncrucified flesh, unsubmitted minds, and our emotions.  That is why we must be vigilant to put our minds and flesh under the blood of Christ and not allow them to be what leads us.

We live (now) in the reality of I AM, who is in us and grants us access into the Kingdom of God, where His presence is.

Evidence that we know this Reality is we are free from the power of sin in our experience, 2 Cor 3:17, and we are led into discovering truth found in the Word that impacts our lives in experience, John 16:13-14.

We live the only reality there is and:

You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Ps 16:11
