The Gospel is Beyond Belief

One will burn with the heart of God and the cross of Christ, while the other will center around the love of God and compassion for those in need and suffering and is crossless.  This compassionate social Gospel is Satanically inspired, and Jesus reveals it on the day Peter rebuked Him from going to the cross: Jesus responded by saying: “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.” Matt 16:23. The Gospel is so large, and beyond this dimension, we need the Holy Spirit to help us grasp it!  It is worth us asking, seeking, and knocking – so God may give us the knowledge of the truth, which is a lifelong request. Here listed are some aspects of the Gospel found in the Word: Historical Account: 1 Cor 15:1-8 Paul who was who God revealed the Gospel:  Ephes 3:1-21 The Gospel Explained in its depths and benefits:  Col 1:9-29 Is found in the awaited Messiah: Isaiah 61 Is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, comprised all in Jesus:  John 14:6 Is not of this world, but the Kingdom of God:  Matt 24:14 Entry into the Gospel is to repent (forsake all) and believe (in Christ):  Mark 1:15, Acts 3:19 Is the power of God – to Salvation, and His righteousness is revealed as we walk in it: Romans 1:16-17 Where the secrets of men will be shown: Romans 2:16 Where we are established (rooted) in Christ: Romans 16:25-27 Those who (truly) believe are only able to see and understand it: 2 Cor 4:3-6 Will be counterfeited:  2 Cor 11:4, Gal 1:6-9 Those who (truly) believe in the Gospel will receive the Holy Spirit:  Ephes 1:13. The Gospel demands conduct that is worthy:  Phil 1:27, 2:22, 4:3 The Gospel comes not only in word but displays in power by the Holy Spirit:  1 Thess 1:5. Will face adversity: 1 Thess 2:2 Will not be pleasing to carnal men but is approved by God 1 Thess 2:4 Is something we labor in  1 Thess 3:2 Is to be not only believed but obeyed:  2 Thess 2:14, 1 Pet 4:17 Through the Gospel, death has been abolished and everlasting life is given in its place:  2 Tim 1:10 May we understand that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is beyond merely believing but must be obeyed and lived for it to be fulfilled in us – Amen.

  1. I love what you wrote that the gospel requires Jesus death AND ours. I have just begun to grasp this, I have been asking Jesus to teach me about the gospel for years and He just takes me deeper and deeper… not just doctrine, but the reality.

Blessings in Christ to you and your family. 🙏🏻

    • I can attest by my own life experience that it wasn’t until I truly understood I needed to put myself to death and apply this day- to-day was when I began to grow in understanding in the knowledge of the gospel and its power and depths – that there were even depths, to start with. So I do not doubt you too will increase in the knowledge of the truth
      – in His name, be blessed.
