It is not about the here and now – in what we see or do not see. It is not about how we feel or think. It is not it. JESUS is. He is our NOW. He is our way. For in Him is the truth we need. He, the Lord Jesus Christ is our life! This truth can only be apprehended by the Spirit of God.

The Lord cannot know us unless we come to Him with our (heavy laden) sins – but it does not stop there. Matt 11:28-29. We must turn from our old lives of sin, leaving them behind us. In this, we must surrender (old) Adam. Who is Adam? He is the one from which we have inherited bodies that enjoy sin. Eph 2:1-3.

We cannot know the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6) until we lay aside old Adam with Christ’s crucifixion.

The Lord’s Blood washes us of our sins and His Cross has nailed old Adam onto it. Until we surrender (old Adam) we cannot take the Lord’s resurrected life to be our own. Romans 6:5-11.

Until we are sold out – to the Lord where we deny ourselves, take up our cross daily and live crucified lives, we will live powerless lives. Our lives will remain changeless and dead (to the Spirit). Romans 6:10-12.

It is crucial that we understand how we can believe in Christ – and yet still die in our sins. Matt 7:21-23.

Only when the Lord comes into us, will we experience Christ’s resurrected life and become new creations. John 3:3 , 2 Cor 5:17. The evidence that this is true is we will recognize sin and quickly confess it and not continue to practice it. We will recognize our flesh and its many lusts – and will not want these to rule over us any longer. We begin to walk not according to our flesh, but according to the Spirit of God – and the Lord’s will, Romans 8. We will hear the Lord calling us out of the world – daily! Rev 18:4-5, 1 John 2:15-16.

The Gospel of Christ will do none of us any good – to merely say, ‘yes I believe!’

If you are a believer in Christ and know nothing of surrender – may this be an indicator to you that something is terribly wrong! We must not only believe but follow Him, Matt 10:38.

We must seek the Lord to get the truth for many have been deceived, asking Him to grant us revelation of His Word of Truth and Gospel of Christ.
