Best Destination Ever: The Kingdom of God!

There are many if not most Christians who have not experienced the Kingdom of God.  Many know about the Kingdom. Some are even great teachers of it. But they have never stepped foot into it.  Some do not realize nor care about the Kingdom of God and have been believers for many years.

The only way to enter the Kingdom of God is through the door of Jesus Christ.  Not just anyone can walk through this door.  Only dead men can.  For the flesh of man can’t enter the Kingdom of God. This is the reason why we have a majority of believers whose remains here on the earth.  They are what many have called carnal Christians.  Truth be told, carnal Christians do not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Repentance is what we give Jesus at the door, in exchange for entry into the Kingdom of God.

What is repentance?

It is the decision to no longer live according to ourselves. Instead, we give our lives to God (die to self). By doing so, we can live and serve God.

Those who belong to the Kingdom of God will lose interest in the kingdoms of this world. They will stop many things they once participated in.  There will be a huge priority shift and many things that were important and enjoyable will no longer be.  Why?  Because in the Kingdom of God, the Holy Spirit is who fills us.  Before we entered, our flesh and its lusts, pride and fear are what filled us.  In the Kingdom, God gives us His heart in which we can love Him, His Word and enjoy His company.  We do His will, not under compulsion. We do it because we want to and take joy in it though it is hard.  For in the Kingdom, we are constantly cutting off things of our flesh (desires) what the bible calls ‘crucifying’ ourselves.

And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Gal 5:24

But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Gal 6:14

Those who have not entered the Kingdom of God have not been born again. They will not understand the war that we fight is not only with Satan but with our flesh. We must daily die to ourselves and live crucified.  There is no other way to follow Jesus except first to die.

Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. Luke 23-34

I recommend the destination of the Kingdom of God. It is where we find true life. He (true life) is Jesus and where we learn who we are in Him. It is a place that far exceeds anything here on earth! If you are a Christian and have not yet experienced it, I highly recommend you make plans. Go now.
