Soulish Christianity is practiced using our flesh and carnal minds. That is, through our feelings, emotions and fears.
Do you have ears to hear what the Spirit says? How do you know? When the Spirit speaks, He reveals truth by showing the error. When the Spirit speaks, He reveals error by showing the truth. When one speaks by the Spirit, it will be in this way.
The liar speaks lies and builds up his lies using lies. There is no truth in him, so he does not speak the truth. Truth is pure. What the liar speaks is truth, but not pure truth. This is how many are deceived because they do not know the (pure) truth.
The ones who want to know the truth will be shown the truth. But very few want to know the truth, though they may say they do. The truth is hard and uncompromising. The truth is the narrow way where few desire to go.
Where lies are easy to digest and handle. They are pleasing to one’s flesh and carnal mind.
The truth, in its purest form, came to this earth and was rejected by the ones who said they were watching and waiting for it (Him). Because the truth exposed the wicked hearts of men, it was rejected.
It is no different today among the religious souls of men. Religious men are bound to themselves and to lies. They love comfort and hate being confronted. They themselves love to confront others, but they despise anyone who would dare confront them.
There are lying spirits that sound like they are from God and are doing God’s work. Such spirits are what come quickly to those who seek to be ‘touched’ or ‘moved’ by the ‘power’ of the Holy Spirit – before and in place of seeking God in His Word (the truth). They love this kind of spirit, because there is no requirement from them to be touched by such a one.
Conversely, when the Spirit of truth comes into a room, it is known by those who are looking for Him, in how they bow low to the ground, seeing how they are frail and humanly formed. The first thing that rises in the mortal man is the desire to repent, for the light of truth reveals how wicked the flesh of man is. They only want to throw off this evil and wicked flesh – in the presence of truth!
There are ‘men of God’ who come and go, but are no more than clouds without water. They boast of how they are walking in the power of God, but seek only to boast of themselves and seek their own gain. They leave the hungry who have sought them, even more empty than when they first came and filled with more of what binds them.
When a true man of God comes to deliver the message of God to a people, there is no doubt he has brought the Spirit of Truth- for when he leaves, the people are changed inside, because they have come face to face with the Truth. And it is revealed from that moment forward in what they do with the truth they have encountered in how they move out and away from all the errors they had walked in. They will testify to how this encounter has done a miraculous work in them. Where a false ‘man of God’ will leave the people with nothing more than a theatrical show to remember – how ‘great’ God moved among them.
May we desire to know the truth, and nothing but the truth – so help us God
from John 8:
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?”
Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
“I know that you are Abraham’s descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you. I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with your father.”
They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.”
Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham. But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this. You do the deeds of your father.”
Then they said to Him, “We were not born of fornication; we have one Father—God.”
Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore, you do not hear, because you are not of God.”
Then the Jews answered and said to Him, “Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?”
Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me. And I do not seek My own glory; there is One who seeks and judges. Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.”
Then the Jews said to Him, “Now we know that You have a demon! Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and You say, ‘If anyone keeps My word he shall never taste death.’ Are You greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? And the prophets are dead. Who do You make Yourself out to be?”
Jesus answered, “If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your God. Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, ‘I do not know Him,’ I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”
Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?”
Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”
Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
