The Place of Meeting

The Lord offers us, daily, a place where we may meet with Him that we often
do not realize because His invitations come in various forms, unlike the
conventional invite one may receive.  They come in the sudden loss of your
job, in the recent diagnosis the doctor has given you, the wayward child that
causes you sleepless nights, the addiction you battle against, the daily strife
you face with others, in the chronic loneliness you experience or in the peace
you are unable to obtain to calm the anxieties and worries that barrages
you.  The Lord has so many other ways He extends His gracious invitations
to us and oh how many have gone unaccepted!

He wants us to meet with Him, in the presence of our enemies, in the grips
of all that assails us but we instead cry out, ‘! Take them away Lord!’  But
He is saying, ‘My Child, it is I who has allowed them so we may enjoy
meeting together by them! I have much to say to you while you are in these
places, that you will otherwise never understand nor know!’

I know in my experience; that the Lord has circled me around and around the
same kind of issue until I finally understood these issues were His invitations
He was graciously extending to me! I couldn’t see this because I was too busy
trying to pray them away.

And I will testify they have been the best and most precious times for me in
so many ways on so many levels. They were like times when I was infused with
spiritual food that was like fertilizer to my entire being and led to my growth
in the Lord through His Word. I highly recommend RSVPing the Lord’s invitation
today!

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matt 11:28-29

The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever. Psalm 23
