The Tree of Life consists of Jesus Christ, and where we find healing and our life.
The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and of what is evil, what is vain and is empty and antichrist.
In Jesus Christ is found the fullness of God, and where God’s pleasure exists. The Kingdom of God is in Christ and of God, and where reality exists.
As citizens of the Kingdom, we are no longer governed by our fleshly lusts and fears, but are led by the Word of God and His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit leads us into ALL truth. Where the Holy Spirit is, there is freedom. No one is bound to their sins, nor are we lovers of sins, as citizens of the Kingdom. In the Kingdom of God, the flesh of man is not permitted to rule.
We can discern if we live according to the Kingdom of God and as its citizens if we are willing to see whether we walk according to our flesh and its lusts and fears or according to God.
For those who practice their faith and religion through their flesh and carnal minds, they are blind and believe themselves to be right (in their own eyes). This is the most deceptive and evil place to be, for this is where antichrist thrives. All that is antichrist has the appearance of righteousness, peace and even joy, but has nothing to do with Jesus Christ, but the god of this world.
Walking with the Lord, in the Kingdom of God, is not burdensome but is invigorating. It is not something that drains us but rather where we enjoy living waters to satisfy our mind, body and spirits.
Our witness and testimony are not about our story, our history, or when we were born again. Our witness and testimony are living our lives that prove Jesus Christ is alive in us. That the work of God is evident in us, as He is transforming us into His likeness.
Religious flesh has an appearance of goodness and godliness, but it is just that an appearance. And is exposed in the moments of pressure and stress. As Jesus has warned, anything not built on Him will fall when we are challenged and face difficulties. We can be sincere in our beliefs, but if they are not securely rooted in the Word, they will be revealed in times when we are questioned about what we believe and why. A religious man has no understanding of what they believe and why because the Word of God has not been given place in their faith and lives. So when asked they will talk about a faith that is objective and distant from the Word of God. The Word of God is not merely scriptures because many can quote scriptures inside and out but still remain dead in their sins. Satan himself is our example of this. The Word of God is living and came to the world to reveal God and His purpose for His people. Our faith does not consist of being pre or post-trib, a Calvinist, non-Calvinist, a Baptist, charismatic and so forth. Nor is it to do with supernatural experiences we may have had. Our faith consists of living a life in a posture that surrenders to the Word of God to abide in the truth, so we walk in the way of life. This involves a daily battle of denying our flesh and carnal mind to influence us, but where we learn to put it under the subjection of the Word. Most who practice their faith and religion do not have a concept of this, let alone practice it and why there are epidemic proportions of those who practice their faith in their flesh and carnal minds.
The way to see if this is you, is to go before the Lord asking Him to open your eyes to all things you have taken in to be of God and are not. This takes courage and the willingness to let go of anything He reveals, and where we realize how we have been taken captive. But oh! Thankfully – Jesus came to set the captives free!
